Three public beta versions of Android 16 have been leaked on the Gerrit platform, a collaborative code-sharing site. According to the leaks, the latest build of the “green robot” will be available to the public very soon.
Developer Build to Beta Transition
Currently, Android 16 exists only as a developer build. However, based on a developer’s publication, this will change shortly. The first public beta version is set for release on January 22, followed by the second on February 19, and the third on March 12. These dates indicate a structured rollout leading up to the stable release.
Stable Release Timeline
The early development of Android 16 has been anticipated for some time, adds NIXSolutions. The stable version is expected to launch in the second quarter of this year, likely in May during the Google I/O conference. This aligns with Google’s usual schedule for major Android updates.
