The Browser Company has officially launched its Arc Search browser for all Android users following the completion of its public beta last month. Touted as “the fastest search tool” and “the best alternative” to Google Chrome, Arc Search aims to provide users with an enhanced browsing experience.
Key Features and Improvements
Arc Search blocks ads and introduces an AI-powered feature called Browse for me, which highlights the most relevant results in your searches. This feature is designed to simplify browsing and save time. During a September interview with Decoder, CEO Josh Miller emphasized that Arc was initially conceived as a laptop-first search engine, but the company is now focusing on optimizing the browser for mobile devices as well.
The browser underwent extensive beta testing by over 100,000 Android users. Feedback from testers led to improvements in several areas, including full support for Android 12, voice search capabilities, landscape mode, and an upgraded incognito mode. These updates address issues that users highlighted during the beta phase.
Steady Rollout Across Platforms
Arc Search initially debuted as a desktop browser for Mac users before expanding to iOS devices in January and Windows in April, reminds NIXSolutions. With the latest Android release, the browser is now accessible on all major platforms.
The Browser Company continues to refine the Arc Search experience across devices. We’ll keep you updated as more features and integrations are introduced.
